Timeline for cancellations and allocation of library materials funding for FY10

January-February 13, 2009 – Libraries collects current costs, historical cost data, usage data, and other information for the review process

February 16, 2009 – data available for library faculty to begin review process, involve departments and faculty in decision-making.

April 8, 2009 – list of recommended cancellations available within Libraries; library faculty work together to coordinate recommendations to ensure best possible use of existing resources.

April 20, 2009 – list of recommended cancellations open to campus.

May 15, 2009 – Master list of cancellations complete.

Summer 2009 – Libraries staff work with publishers and vendors to cancel resources

January 2010 – Subscriptions for targeted serials and journals are discontinued
